Curbside Pickup Service
Lambton County Library is offering a contactless curbside pickup service at 14 of its locations. In providing curbside pickup service, Lambton County Library will follow public health measures and guidelines that limit health risks for the Library's employees and patrons.
How does Library Curbside Pickup Service Work?
1. Choose the library materials you want to borrow. You can do this in three ways:
- Reserve the title you want online by using Lambton County Library's catalogue.
- If you know the title you would like to reserve, call a library offering curbside service and ask a member of our team to reserve the item in your name.
- If you don't have a specific title or author in mind, let our team members select library materials for you based on your preferences. Call 1-866-324-6912 from Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 7 p.m and Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. or fill out the Readers' Advisory Form for the Library's Readers' Advisory Service.
2. Choose which library you want to pick your order up from. The following 14 Lambton County Library locations are offering curbside pickup service: Alvinston, Bright's Grove, Corunna, Florence, Forest, Mallroad, Oil Springs, Petrolia, Point Edward, Sarnia, Sombra, Thedford, Watford and Wyoming. Be sure to tell our team member where you would like to pick up your materials when you place your order, or make the reservation online.
3. Wait for one of our team members to call you to tell you your order is ready for pickup. Be sure to write down your order number.
4. Once your order is ready for pickup, arrive at your designated location during its curbside pickup hours of operation. Be sure to bring your order number. Park in the area marked with designated Curbside Pickup signage and call the number on the sign to tell our team members you have arrived and are ready to pickup your materials. Pop your trunk, or open the door of the vehicle you would like your materials placed and keep your vehicle turned off to keep our employee safe. Stay in your vehicle while our employee is outside.
5. If you do not have a cell phone and cannot call from your car, please knock on the library door to alert our team member to your arrival, state your order number, and return to your vehicle.
6. If you do not have a vehicle knock on the library door or ring the bell if available to alert our team member to your arrival, state your order number, and stand in the designated waiting area. Your order will be placed on a table for contactless pickup.
7. While using curbside pickup, please help our team members remain safe by eliminating any contact, respecting physical distancing guidelines and avoid gathering with friends and neighbours while waiting for the library service.
