Mobile Library Service

Lambton County Library's Mobile Library brings library materials to specific locations throughout Lambton County, in an effort to better serve library patrons who may have difficulty accessing transportation to get to a library, or who may have mobility challenges. You must register for the Mobile Library Service and once registered, you can receive materials you reserve from the Library's collection, or receive materials that have been selected just for you based on your preferences.

What can you borrow?

  • Hardcover, paperback books (adult, young adult, children)
  • Fiction, nonfiction, multilingual materials
  • Large print books
  • Audio books, CDs, DVDs
  • E-readers, GPS Devices, pedometers, museum passes

How to borrow from the Mobile Library?

  • A valid library card is required to borrow material from the Mobile Library.
  • Children (grade 8 and under) require the signature of a parent or guardian before receiving a library card.
  • Books checked out from any Lambton County Library location may be returned to the Mobile Library.

Can you renew materials?

Materials can be renewed through the Mobile Library if no one else has reserved them. Renewals are made only at the request of the person who has borrowed the items. Items may also be renewed by phoning the Sarnia Library at 519-337-3291 ext. 5909.

About Reservations and Requests

Materials that are reserved for Mobile Library stops will be available for pick-up at that stop.

Schedule Changes

In the event of scheduling changes, an announcement will be made through the Library's online communication tools (website, Facebook, Twitter), and may also be made on local media stations.
