Sarnia Library Room and Theatre Rentals

Sarnia Library Theatre

Location: Sarnia Library, 2nd Floor

Rate: $20 per hour
Applicable taxes will be added.

Seating Capacity:

  • 306
  • 297 with capability of up to five barrier free seats
    • there are barrier free seats at both the front and back of the theatre

Rental includes:

  • Lighting and sound equipment
  • Large projection screen
  • Flip chart
  • Podium
  • Small dressing room
  • Foyer area
  • Coffee urns
  • Access to 20 folding tables and 75 chairs for use in the lobby.
  • Grand Pianos
    • 9 foot Steinway
    • 6 foot Steinway
  • Access to freight and passenger elevators
  • Assistance of maintenance staff to set-up lighting/sound equipment *
  • Multi-media equipment including Clickshare, Blu-ray player, DVD player, and microphones
  • Ceiling mounted projector
  • Wireless Internet access

*You are responsible for running equipment during your rental, maintenance staff are only available for set-up assistance.

Other Services

Lighting / Sound Technician: $40 per hour

  • Designated technician to operate lighting / sound equipment during event

Piano Practices: $10 per hour

  • Scheduled practice time for a minimum of one hour to a maximum of three hours

Piano Tunings

  • At user's request, special tunings can be arranged
  • Tuning costs will be invoiced to the user group
  • Service is dependent on the availability of the tuner

Room Rentals

East Room: $10 per hour

Includes use of the room for up to four hours

Seating Capacity: 37

West Room: $10 per hour

Includes use of the room for up to four hours

Seating Capacity: 42

Rental of either room includes:

  • Tables and chairs
  • Flip chart
  • Access to freight and passenger elevators
  • Assistance of maintenance staff to set-up room and equipment *
  • TV and multi-media equipment
  • Data projector
  • Screen
  • Wireless Internet access

*Maintenance staff are only available for assistance with set-up

Applicable taxes will be added to all services.
