Library by Mail
Library by Mail provides access to Lambton County Library materials by mailing items from its collection to eligible cardholders.
This service is offered to Lambton County Library cardholders who are unable to visit a Lambton County Library due to disability, medical condition, or being homebound.
What You Can Borrow
Library by Mail loans the following items:
- Books - regular print, large print, multilingual titles, and ESL Language Learning materials
- Audiobooks - books on CD, Vox Books, and Wonder Books
- DVDs
- Magazines

Important Information
Library by Mail operates exclusively through Canada Post. Materials must be returned through a Canada Post mail location using the provided packaging. The library does not provide home pickup or delivery. Any pickup services are only available if offered directly by Canada Post.

How Library by Mail Works:
1. Reserve
Reserve items from Lambton County Library’s online catalogue by using one of the following ways:
- Online catalogue
- Library mobile app for Google Play or Apple App Store
- Call your local library during opening hours
- Call 1-866-324-6912 ext. 5900 Monday through Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
When reserving items, select or tell staff that your pickup location is “Library by Mail”.

2. Enjoy
Your items will be mailed to you through Canada Post.
Each shipment includes:
- Your reserved items
- A reservation slip with the due date
- A pre-addressed return envelope with pre-paid postage
There is a maximum of two packages per month.
3. Return
Return items by the due date listed on the reservation slip.
- Place materials in the provided return packaging
- Use the pre-addressed envelope
- Drop the package at a Canada Post Mail location

| Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) |
Lambton County Library also offers access to the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) collection for people who have difficulty reading print due to a visual, physical or learning disability. With over 500,000 items in accessible formats, the CELA collection represents Canada's largest collection of alternative format books and online resources. The collection is in both English and French and includes:

How to Register and Use the Collection Eligible Lambton County Library users with a valid library card can register for this service by calling 519-845-3324 ext. 5232. If you do not already have a library card, staff will issue you a card as part of the CELA registration process. Access to the collection is offered in a number of ways:
