Celebrate your Library this October

Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library is once again planning a variety of events to celebrate Ontario Public Library week from October 20-26, 2025.
“With the theme of “I Love My Library”, we have several events planned so that patrons can show us their love of libraries,” said Darlene Coke, Manager, Library Services. “This is the perfect time to visit your local library to see everything we offer – from books to projectors, and from pickleball paddles to telescopes we have so much to offer to help learn, play and grow at all ages.”
Ontario Public Library Week Highlights:
• Patrons are invited to share why they love their library by submitting testimonial cards in-library, on social media, or via email.
• Magnetic “I Love Lambton County Library” bookmarks will be available on a first come first serve basis at all Lambton County library locations.
• Florence Library Open House will be held on Thursday, October 23 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting to recognize Lambton County and Dawn-Euphemia's newest investment in library service with extended hours and expanded services at Florence Library.
• An Evening with Canadian Explorer and Author Adam Shoalts will be held on Thursday, October 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Sarnia Library Theatre. Adam Shoalts will share the story of his newest book, "Vanished Beyond the Map: The Mystery of Lost Explorer Hubert Darrell".
• Lambton County Library is inviting the community to celebrate Canadian Library Month this October with a new cardholder prize draw. New patrons who sign up for a Lambton County Library card between Wednesday, October 1, and Friday, October 31, 2025, will be entered to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet.
• Some Lambton County Councilors will be popping by selected children’s storytimes to join the fun and read a story.

Memberships are free for anyone living, working, attending school, or owning property in Lambton County, or living on a First Nations reserve in Ontario.
