Lambton County Library expands educational offerings with digital resources from TVO
Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library has added a suite of educational resources from TVO to its online learning collection.
“The new TVO resources will expand educational opportunities for our community,” said Greer Macdonell, Library Operations Supervisor. “These resources are great for students, parents, educators, and anyone looking to enhance their learning.
The new TVO resources include:
• TVO Learn: Free, curriculum-aligned learning resources for students from kindergarten to Grade 12, plus trusted support for parents assisting their children with their studies. Included in TVO Learn is TVO Learn Games which is a collection of over 65 free online games designed to support foundational math skills in grades K-6, with a focus on financial literacy and algebra/coding, and TVO Learn Mathify which offers one-on-one online math tutoring for students in Grades 4-12. Tutors are available seven days a week (an Ontario Education Number is required and can be accessed through schools or on student’s report cards or transcripts).
• TVO Kids: Commercial-free, curriculum-aligned educational content for students in Grades JK-5, featuring safe, interactive learning tools.
• TVO Today: Award-winning current affairs journalism, documentaries, and podcasts, offering diverse perspectives on important issues.
• TVO ILC (Independent Learning Centre): Ontario's official distance learning partner, offering more than 140 flexible high school courses and pathways to complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). (Application and payment fee to TVO are required.)
