Lambton County Library invites community to participate in Valentine’s for Long-Term Care initiative
Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library invites the community to create cards for residents of the County of Lambton’s long-term care homes and participants in adult day programs as part of its annual Valentine's for Long-Term Care initiative.
In 2025, Lambton County Library delivered 670 Valentine’s cards to residents living at the County of Lambton’s three municipally operated long-term care homes, participants in the County’s four adult day programs, and members of the Mobile Library Service living in long-term care homes and retirement communities in Lambton.
“Valentine’s for Long-Term Care creates moments of connection and brings joy to those who receive the cards,” said Adrianne Lebert, Public Services Coordinator, Adult Programs and Outreach. “We encourage participants to create fun and colourful cards with positive messages that can resonate with anyone.”
To support the initiative, select Lambton County Library locations are offering Valentine’s for Long-Term Care card-making programs. A complete list of programs and registration details is available on Lambton County Library’s online calendar.
Community members, classrooms, and local organizations are encouraged to create handmade Valentine’s Day cards and drop them off at any Lambton County Library location during regular operating hours. All cards submitted by Saturday, January 31, 2026, will be delivered in time for Valentine’s Day.
