News Release - Bright’s Grove Library to Temporarily Close for Expansion Project
Wyoming, ON – Bright’s Grove Library will temporarily close beginning Saturday, June 27, 2026 to accommodate the construction of a significant addition onto the building as part of the City of Sarnia’s Bright’s Grove Library Expansion. The closure is expected to last 14 months, subject to the construction schedule.
The approximately 7,000 square foot addition will be situated on the north side of the existing building, which currently serves as the building’s main entrance.
“The renovation and expansion project represents a significant investment in the future of library service in Bright’s Grove,” said Darlene Coke, Manager of Library Services. “Given the scope of construction activity at the site, temporarily closing the library is the safest and most effective way to complete the work. We are excited to deliver a modern, accessible, and enhanced library space, and we look forward to welcoming the community back to a new Bright’s Grove Library when construction is complete.”
Library card holders and local residents are encouraged to use four other library locations operated by Lambton County Library that are within a 20-minute drive and within 9 – 18 kilometres from Bright’s Grove Library including: Camlachie Library, Point Edward Library, Clearwater Library and Sarnia Library.
To help minimize impacts to library users, Lambton County Library will expand service at neighboring locations.
