Lambton County Library Announces 2026 One Seed Lambton: Rainbow Swiss Chard
Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library has selected Rainbow Swiss Chard for this year’s One Seed Lambton program. Each year, One Seed Lambton provides free seeds and related library programs and resources to help anyone learn how to garden to produce food.
“This year’s One Seed Lambton selection, Rainbow Swiss Chard, will add a colourful pop to your garden and your plate,” said Adrianne Lebert, Public Services Coordinator, Adult Programs and Outreach. “Rainbow Swiss Chard can easily be grown in pots on a balcony, in a community garden box, or in a backyard plot.”
Beginning Saturday, March 28, free seed packets of Rainbow Swiss Chard will be available at all Lambton County Library locations while supplies last. In 2025, Lambton County Library distributed 3,000 seed packets of Cherokee Purple Tomatoes.
The One Seed Lambton program will launch with a free event at Sarnia Library on Saturday, March 28, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The launch event will feature guest speaker sessions, and a screening of the documentary The Biggest Little Farm.
